His Majesty by Johnson Brothers is high-quality, rimmed, scallop-shaped earthenware, with a regal tom turkey spreading his plumage in the center of the plate, and an embossed rim strewn with tempting nuts, fruits, berries, and vegetables, with a thin, painted cable design on the outside rim.  The colors of the pattern are lush earth tones.  Designed from an original engraving, the tom turkey on His Majesty made his first appearance as an accent plate in the Johnson Brothers tremendously popular Friendly Village multi-motif pattern.  Demand for the accent plate was so great that Johnson Brothers introduced His Majesty just two years later.  Customers have enjoyed the quality and durability of Johnson Brothers china since 1882.

Waterford Crystal’s Lismore pattern is named for historic Lismore Castle in County Waterford, Ireland.  A monastery in the early 7th century, the castle was acquired by Sir Walter Raleigh in the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.  Lismore crystal features a squarish bowl with straight sides and dramatic straight and crisscross polished cuts on the side.  The stem is multi-sided, with a round foot and straight cuts radiating from the stem.  Gorgeous on any table, Lismore is our most popular Waterford pattern.  The company dates back to the Flint Glass Works, founded in 1783 on the quay in the port town of Waterford, Ireland.  When a Waterford crystal service was presented to the wife of King George III, she was so proud of it that she had it displayed in Cheltenham castle.  Today “Waterford” is synonymous with fine crystal, and is found in households around the world.

Designed in 1895 by William Christmas Codman for Gorham Silver of Providence, RI, Chantilly is one of the most popular silver patterns ever produced. An ornate design, full of curves, with a fan/plume design, a scrolled, beveled edge, and glossy finish, Chantilly's graceful border and floral designs were inspired by the “Rococo” style of early 18th century France.  During the reign of King Louis XV, Rococo emerged in response to the heavier, highly ornate art of the late Baroque period.  Rococo featured elaborate designs with playful swirls and scrolls.  Also available in sterling and silverplate hollowware, Chantilly was discontinued in 1950.  But our specialty at Replacements, Ltd. is finding the hard-to-find, and we have a fantastic selection of Gorham Silver Chantilly sterling silver available for you!
