"I want to tell you a story.... Recently, I attended a business dinner with clients who were planning to be married next month. They were talking about all the pre wedding stress and how little things were turning into arguments. One of the situations they described was the soon to be bride breaking two dishes that the groom has had for years. The dishes were very old and now the set was imperfect. The groom was very unhappy, but understanding about it and the bride kept saying, "I didn't do it on purpose." I told them I thought I could solve the problem. I took their e-mail address, went home, and logged onto your website. I found the pattern they'd broken and sent the information along to them. I just received two ecstatic e-mails; one from the bride and one from the groom, telling me they'd not only been able to replace the broken dishes, but also able to buy the serving pieces. "Just had to let you know that I appreciate the service that your business provides. When my mother-in-law passed away, it was, of course, difficult for my husband. Even more so, I feel, because they had been separated for many years, he had moved to the United States, she remained in England. She had moved to the U.S. only a few years before she passed. She did not have many material things, and had some tough years before she died. After her death, we received from her husband a set of china that had belonged to her. It includes dinner plates, bowls, some serving pieces, cups and saucers, even demitasse cups. Several pieces are broken and it is a set of six. Though probably not extremely valuable, it is something special we have of her to pass to our children. And it means a lot to my husband. I decided to replace the broken pieces, a few so shattered, they are mostly glue, and bring the set from six to eight. I contacted several places and was unable to find anyone who had pieces for this discontinued set. I heard about your company on the Oprah Winfrey show, found it on the internet, and was thrilled to discover you have all the pieces I will need. It will take some time for me to acquire what I need, but I feel good that I can honor her memory for my husband, and help to share memories of her with my children. We use the service for dinner on Sundays and it is a special time for our family. Again, I thank you."

"I've never ordered from you before, and now I can hardly wait for my order to arrive! I wanted to tell you about the wonderful customer service I received from the gal who took my order. In an era where there is no such thing as personalized service any more - I found some in your organization. Your employee took a great deal of time in discussing the size of plates I need in my pattern. It appears that I have a plate size in Masons Mandalay which is unusual, and one which is common. In any event, I ordered one plate. I was surprized and delighted when this same gal called me back about a half an hour later to tell me that she had just checked the stock on this plate and wanted to describe what she had found so I could get a good match on my existing plate (which she knew were for display - because I had told her). In the conversation she told me about two more plates in the same pattern, also in the "on sale" section, which were very nice, and were a good match for each other. And, I ended up buying those, also. WOW - what customer service! Unfortunately, I didn't get this gal's name but I know that she collects crystal and depression glass (because I asked her). My call to you would have come in Sunday morning, California time. If you can identify her - she should get a prize!"

"I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful service I received from your company. I signed up on your finder area months ago. Just before Valentine's I decided to order since my china was on sale. The order taker was VERY polite, efficient and helpful. My order arrived 3 days later in perfect condition and a perfect match. I even used the e-mail reminder to track my order. I knew when it arrived at the local post office and knew it would be delivered the next day. Because of that service I knew to stay home to accept the package. I received my china as a present from my dad when I was 9 years old!! He bought it at Marshall Field's and it was for my "wedding". "I just want to take a minute to let you know what a WONDERFUL experience I've had with your company. I was "turned onto" you through a sales person at Hudson's in Novi, Michigan. When she realized what I wanted was discontinued, she immediately called 800-Replace. The woman who took my order was wonderful, very helpful. The problem came when I received my Email confirmation. The picture was not what I wanted! I called 800-Replace and spoke to Alex, who was cheerful, polite and helpful. She explained the pictures are just stock pictures, not necessarily the actual product being sent, but to ease my mind, offered to physically check the pieces. She got back to me within 10 minutes! The pieces to be shipped were the wrong style. She fixed the problem, found me what I wanted -- and made me one happy camper. Honestly, I do more than 85% of my shopping over the Internet, and by phone/mail order, and have for many, many years and this kind of customer service is unheard have. Thank you so much for your service and for the wonderful people you have working for you! P.S. By the way, the reason the wrong pieces were sent originally, was that the company who manufactured the pieces made two different styles of champagne glasses, and gave them the same style number. Not the fault of your operator, at all."
